A number of small, hand-powered machines are on the market and most work quite well within certain limits common to all dry washers used in gold mining.
Most dry-washers will run this material, but the efficiency will be diminished somewhat. If the ball stays intact or breaks into two or three parts, the pay-dirt must be dried before running through the dry-washer. On a good day, most dry-washers will lose between 10% and 20% of the finer-sized gold which remains trapped in small dirt balls.
Using a Drywasher: Set your drywasher up as instructed with the blower placed upwind to minimize the amount of dust on the blower. Also you should always set the blower on a pad of some type to keep it from sucking up dust. You do not want dust being blown inside the recovery box.

I classifiy all my material first then start feeding the drywasher until I have run . what I have then do a clean-up. most of the time I will run 2 or 3 5gal buckets of material then clean-up
